Movie #199 watched on 7/6/2019.
Director: Dexter Fletcher | Writer(s): Lee Hall
I think Patrick Willems has doomed all music biopics for me. To be fair it’s really probably Dewey Cox’s fault but it’s still the case that I can easily see the cracks now. Even in a movie like this where it’s suppose to be different it’s not. It’s the same music biopic formula with Elton John flair sprinkled on top.
Danny Boyle’s and Aaron Sorkin’s Steve Jobs movie now seems more innovative than ever.
All that said, I think most people will enjoy the movie and how they intertwined his music.
